Tygar Miles Smith in a nutshell:

To put it simply, Tygar Smith's practice is the love child of artists Tom Phillips and Josh Smith. While Phillips’ work has influenced him to reconstruct the books of his childhood; Smith has inspired him to visualise the names inscribed in those very books he now possesses. The ideas of ownership and authorship come into play within this practice, names like Celia Andrews, Vanessa Karl, written by the predecessor become a declaration of ownership, that he then uses for his own personal artistic gain. These names and books are the centre of his practice and from where he spins the web to develop his work and ideas.
