"I am a London based artist and curator. I use a multi-deciplinary approach to explore how the world is perceived. My work tends to be influenced by the ideas of colour, shape and time and the way in which I interact and express myself through these.  More recently, I have focussed specifically on branches of philosophy, human emotion and self-discovery. I have concentrated on expression and detachment, walking a line between exposing and withholding.

My recent practice has predominantly been led by my curiosity about colour, especially the colour blue, delving in particular into the works of Derek Jarman and Maggie Nelson.  In a strange sense, something so simple and known as a colour has allowed me to express the unknown and the complex. I also like to take a  scientific approach to the work I create, finding inspiration from the information. The research about the perception of colour is what prompted my research into the wider subject of perception of life and everything that may encompass; taking inspiration from external and internal perception and reflection. In a sense, I try to educate myself about my own thoughts and questions through the work I create, and then respond in ways I feel are both aesthetically and conceptually appropriate, leading to a diverse practice.  This could be why I find it difficult to summarise what my art practice is, as it is a visual representation of who I am, and who I am in the question that I am still searching for an answer to."
