'reddress blue' An experiment into decontructing a metaphorical figure. The idea of the 'reddress' is to do with suduction, lust and longing. When these acts and emotions take place a motive and a vulnerability is covered or exposed within one self. The idea of depicting a dress in blue is to provoke separation of the inner motive thats lusts from the innocence of care funditmental to the attachment that a symbol the sigifcant other resembles. 'machine noise' I'd had this idea a few months back that painting functions as a machine for looking. I wanted to depict the idea about painting through painting by reeling in a composition that follows itelf round a canvas in a machine like way. It was intresting to give the mind a space in which it could be stimulated systematically from point to point giving the inpression it was coming to a conclusion but never quite reaching it.
